Which of the following is NOT a major function of serum?
Answer: A
Correct answer: Promotion of tuber and bulb formation
Tubers and bulbs are plant structures, so that is nothing to do with serum. Serum’s real functions are to stimulate growth with hormones and growth factors, to promote attachment through fibronectin and similar proteins, and to supply transport proteins such as albumin and transferrin that carry hormones, lipids and iron.
