State whether the following is true or false.
Characterisation tests on an incoming raw material are usually ordered cheapest first.
Answer: B
A visual check and a moisture figure cost almost nothing and will catch a grossly wrong delivery. Reserving the analysis and the firing trial for material that has passed those saves both time and money. Rejecting a bad delivery early avoids spending the expensive tests on it.
