Which effect does low torsional stiffness have on handling?
Answer: C
A flexible structure acts as an additional spring in series with the suspension, so the carefully designed geometry is compromised and the response becomes vague and unpredictable. Achieving a stiff structure is therefore a prerequisite for good handling rather than a refinement. It also allows the suspension to be tuned reliably, since the designer knows where the mounting points will be. The quantity that varies and the quantity that does not are worth naming before any substitution is attempted.
