Which subframe function is most important in a modern car?
Answer: D
A subframe carries the suspension and often the engine, and attaches to the body through rubber bushes that filter road noise and vibration while providing a stiff platform for the suspension geometry. It also simplifies assembly, since the whole front end can be built up and offered to the body in one operation. The unitary body carries the primary structural loads. Most errors here come from carrying a result across from a neighbouring case where it does not hold.
