Assertion (A) : Anodizing is a method to prevent metal from corrosion.
Reason (R) : Anodizing is a process of coating iron with a layer of zinc.
Choose the correct option.
Answer: C
A is true but R is false.
Anodizing is an electrolytic process that thickens the natural oxide layer on a metal, usually aluminium. The tough oxide coat protects the metal from corrosion, so the Assertion is correct.
The Reason describes a different process. Coating iron with a layer of zinc is galvanization, not anodizing. Since R is false, it cannot explain A, and the options calling it true or calling A false are wrong.
