Consider the following statements comparing CIELAB and CIELUV.
1. CIELUV retains an associated chromaticity diagram.
2. CIELAB is more widely used for surface colours.
3. The two spaces give identical colour difference values.
Answer: C
The first two are correct and reflect actual usage. The third is not so, and the two spaces give measurably different differences for the same pair. Neither is a simple relabelling of the other. Their difference values genuinely differ.
