A, B, C and D are playing cards. A and B are partners. D faces towards north. If A faces towards west, then who faces towards south ?
Answer: B
The player facing south is C.
In a game of cards the four players sit round the table, partners facing each other. A and B are partners, so if A faces west, B faces east. That leaves C and D as the other pair of partners, facing each other along the north-south line.
D faces north, so his partner C, sitting opposite, faces south. A and B face west and east, so neither of them, and not D, faces south.
