Discussion
Six people, U, V, H, D, B and G, are sitting around a circular table facing the centre. H is sitting second to the left of U and third to right of G. B is sitting second to the right of G. D is sitting second to the left of G. How many people sit between V and U if counted from the right of V?
Answer: C
Three people sit between V and U. Taking left as clockwise, H is second to the left of U and third from G, so G, U, D, H, B, V follow clockwise. B is second to the right of G, and D second to the left of G.
Counting from the right of V, which is anticlockwise, we meet B, H and D before reaching U, so three people sit between V and U. Zero, two and four do not match this order.
