Three of the following are the customer's responsibility in a typical infrastructure as a service deployment. Which is the odd one out?
Answer: C
Correct answer: physical security of the data centre
The data centre is the provider’s responsibility under every shared responsibility model - the customer cannot enter it, so it cannot be theirs. Network rules, encryption keys and guest operating system patching all sit above the hypervisor and are the customer’s. The line moves upward as the service model rises: with platform and software services the provider takes on more of it.
