1. Encryption at rest protects against media disposal and theft.
2. Encryption in transit protects against interception on the network.
3. Encryption at rest protects against a stolen credential.
Answer: C
The first two are correct. The third is the most common misunderstanding, since the service decrypts transparently for anyone whose request is properly authorised. Access control is the other half. Media disposal is what it defends against.
