A legend is set in 8 point type with 10 point leading. How much vertical space do six lines occupy, in points?
Answer: C
Leading is measured from one baseline to the next, so six lines at 10 points each occupy 60 points, about 21 millimetres. The point size of the type itself does not enter the calculation, which catches people who add the two figures together.
