Logic gates required to built up a half adder circuit are :
Answer: B
A half adder needs an EX-OR gate and AND gate.
A half adder adds two bits A and B. The sum bit is 1 when exactly one input is 1, which is A ⊕ B (EX-OR), and the carry bit is 1 only when both are 1, which is A · B (AND).
An OR gate would give a carry when either input is 1, which is wrong, and NOR or the EX-NOR and NAND pair produce the complements of the needed outputs.
