Rs.8000 become Rs.9261 in a certain interval of time at the rate of 5% per annum of C.I. Find the time?
Answer: D
\[ A = P\left(1 + \frac{R}{100}\right)^{n}, \qquad \text{CI} = A - P, \qquad \text{SI} = \frac{PRn}{100} \]
\[ (1.05)^{n} = \frac{9261}{8000} = 1.157625 \]
Testing the small powers:
\[ (1.05)^{2} = 1.1025, \qquad (1.05)^{3} = 1.157625 \]
\[ n = 3 \text{ years} \]
The numbers 8000 and 9261 are \( 20^{3} \) and \( 21^{3} \), so the ratio is \( \left(\tfrac{21}{20}\right)^{3} \) - the cube is visible without any multiplication.
