The statement that is not true is that death is there only because of religion, the last option. Death is a fact of life whether or not there is religion, and the passage speaks of religion as an attempt to help man face death.
The first and second options agree with the passage. The third option claims religion succeeds for every follower, which is overstated since the passage says the pious fear death too, but the fourth is false outright, and it is the keyed answer.
