How many devices can be used on a single SCSI bus? Keep in mind that the SCSI host adapter counts as a device.

A narrow SCSI bus has eight IDs, 0 to 7, and the host adapter takes one of them - conventionally 7. So eight devices in total, seven of them peripherals.
