LinkedIn's primary focus is career-oriented social networking.
LinkedIn, launched in 2003 and owned by Microsoft since 2016, is a professional networking platform. Users build profiles that work as online CVs, connect with colleagues and employers, look for jobs, and share professional content. Recruiters and companies use it to find and approach candidates.
Personal blogging is associated with platforms such as Blogger or WordPress, video creation with YouTube, and online gaming with gaming platforms; none of these is LinkedIn's main purpose, even though it allows posts and articles.
