A database that contains the names and address of various hosts on internet is called
Answer: B
The database is called the Domain Name System.
The Domain Name System (DNS) is the distributed, hierarchical database of the internet that maps host names such as www.example.com to IP addresses. Root, top-level-domain and authoritative name servers each hold part of it, and resolvers query them in turn.
'Domain Name Service' is a loose expansion of the same acronym but not the name of the system. 'DNS File System' does not exist, and 'none of the above' is wrong because the answer is listed.
