Which protocol is used to retrieve email from a mail server to a local client ?
Answer: C
Correct answer: POP3
POP3 downloads messages from the server to the client, whereas SMTP is used to send mail outward. The two work together: SMTP delivers a message to the recipient’s server and POP3 or IMAP fetches it from there.
