Consider the following pairs of device and its purpose.
Balance tab - Reduce stick force
Mass balance - Prevent flutter
Bobweight - Raise stick force per g
Trim tab - Increase control effectiveness
How many of the pairs given above are correctly matched?
Answer: D
The first three are correct and the fourth is not, so three match. A trim tab lets a deflection be held without force; it does not make the surface any more effective about the aeroplane's centre of gravity.
