If the path of an irrigation canal is below the bed level of a natural stream, the type of cross-drainage structure provided is:
Answer: C
The structure is a Super Passage.
Where the canal bed is below the bed of the natural stream, the stream is carried over the canal in a flume or trough, and the canal passes beneath. This is a super passage.
An aqueduct is the reverse case, carrying the canal over the drainage when the canal is above the stream. A level crossing is used when both are at about the same level, and a sluice gate is a regulating device, not a cross-drainage work.
