Which train did Aman catch to go to office ?
Statements:
1. Aman missed his usual train of 10.25 a.m. A train comes in every 5 minutes.
2. Aman did not catch the 10.40 a.m. train or any train after that time.
Answer: D
Correct answer: Neither 1 or 2 is sufficient
Statement 1 says he missed the 10.25 and that trains run every five minutes; statement 2 says he did not take the 10.40 or any later one. Together those leave the 10.30 and the 10.35, and nothing distinguishes between them. The two statements narrow the answer to two possibilities, which is not an answer.
