Which is the correct statement about the phase of the two sidebands in DSB-SC?
Answer: C
For a real message the sidebands are conjugate images about the suppressed carrier, which is the frequency-domain statement that the time signal is real. That symmetry is what allows either sideband alone to carry the whole message and hence makes SSB possible. Identical phase across the band would not give a real signal. Quadrature describes the relationship between the two channels of a quadrature-modulated pair, not between sidebands. And nothing here is random.
