Which is the oldest National Park in India ?
Answer: D
The oldest is Jim Corbett National Park.
Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park in present-day Uttarakhand, it was India's first national park. It was renamed after the hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett in 1956 and became the first reserve under Project Tiger in 1973.
Kanha (1955), Kaziranga (1974) and Sundarbans (1984) were declared national parks much later.
The park lies along the Ramganga river in the Himalayan foothills, and its Dhikala zone is its best-known area for seeing tigers and elephants.
