Which value does the controller use as a base for injection duration?
Answer: A
The map gives a base value which corrections then modify for temperature, altitude and feedback. Modern systems genuinely calculate a fuel mass and convert it using the injector characteristic, which makes the last option a correct description of current practice. Checking which component actually carries the load settles most questions of this kind at once. Most errors here come from carrying across a result from a neighbouring case where it does not hold.
