What is the output of this C code?
int main()
{
int i = 7;
i = i / 4;
printf("%d\n", i);
return 0;
}
Answer: B
Correct answer: 1
Both operands are int, so this is integer division: the fractional part is discarded rather than rounded. \(7 / 4 = 1.75\) truncates to 1. Writing 7 / 4.0 would force floating-point division and give 1.75.
