Evaluation is to assess the progress.
In extension work evaluation measures how far a programme has achieved its objectives, the progress made and the changes brought about in people's knowledge, skills and practices. Its findings are used to improve the next plan.
It is not a method of approach, not merely a step in a demonstration, and not just part of the plan of work: it is the appraisal of results that runs through the whole programme.
