Community development programme was launched in India ......................
Answer: D
The Community Development Programme was launched on 2nd October 1952.
India's Community Development Programme began on Gandhi Jayanti, 2 October 1952, with 55 pilot projects, as a nationwide effort for the all-round development of rural areas through people's participation. It was followed in 1953 by the National Extension Service.
The other dates are close distractors: 3 and 4 October are the wrong days, and 2 October 1953 is the right day of the wrong year, the year in which the National Extension Service was launched.
