I.R.D.P. stands for Integrated Rural Development Programme.
The IRDP was launched in 1978-79 and extended to all blocks of India in 1980. It aimed to raise rural poor families above the poverty line by giving them productive assets through government subsidy and bank credit. In 1999 it was merged into the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana.
