The following is characteristic of extension :
Answer: C
The characteristic of extension is co-operation.
Extension is a co-operative effort: it depends on government, extension workers, local institutions and the people working together, and it works with people rather than for them, through their voluntary participation.
Communication is a tool that extension uses, not its defining characteristic. 'Honest' and 'social' are general descriptions that apply to many activities and do not set extension apart.
