Informal education is lifelong, incidental learning from daily experience: from family, friends, the media and work. It has no planned curriculum, teacher or examination, so the learning happens by chance wherever the person lives and works.
The lecture, the classroom and the examination hall are all settings of formal education, where learning is planned and organised, which is why they are wrong here.
