Which architect designed the Jaipur city ?
Answer: C
Jaipur was designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya.
Vidyadhar Bhattacharya, a Bengali scholar and architect in the service of Sawai Jai Singh II, planned Jaipur in 1727. He laid it out on a grid of rectangular blocks, following the principles of the Shilpa Shastra and Vastu Shastra, with wide straight streets, which made it one of the earliest planned cities of India; its walled city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Frank Gehry, B.V. Doshi and Zaha Hadid are modern architects of the 20th and 21st centuries, centuries too late to have designed an 18th-century city.
