In the Lion Capital of Ashoka, which four animals are engraved at the bottom?
Answer: C
They are the lion, elephant, horse and bull.
The four animals are carved on the abacus of the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath, each separated by a wheel. They are commonly read as the four quarters and the four stages of life; the wheel between them became the Ashoka Chakra on the national flag.
