'Mandhata' was the ancient name of the which pilgrimage centre ?
Answer: B
Mandhata was the ancient name of Onkareshwar.
Onkareshwar stands on the island of Mandhata in the Narmada, in Khandwa district. The island is named after King Mandhata of the Ikshvaku line, who is said to have worshipped Shiva there, and the Omkareshwar temple on it holds one of the twelve jyotirlingas.
Kamadgiri is the sacred hill at Chitrakoot, Amarkantak is the source of the Narmada, and Maheshwar is the old Mahishmati; none was called Mandhata.
