Where is the historical Matangeshwar temple situated ?
Answer: C
The Matangeshwar temple is at Khajuraho.
The Matangeshwar temple, dedicated to Shiva, belongs to the western group of the Khajuraho temples in Chhatarpur district, built by the Chandela kings. It houses a large Shiva linga and, unlike most temples of the group, is still in active worship.
Ujjain is known for the Mahakaleshwar temple, Maheshwar for its ghats and the Ahilyabai fort, and Vidisha for sites such as the Udayagiri caves and the Heliodorus pillar.
