Where is the Tungabhadra sanctuary located?
Answer: C
The Tungabhadra sanctuary is in Karnataka.
The Tungabhadra river is formed in Karnataka by the Tunga and the Bhadra, and its dam and reservoir at Hosapete are in Karnataka. The protected area along the river named after it, the Tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve, is in Karnataka too.
Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal lie far from the Tungabhadra basin, which drains parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh into the Krishna.
