Siliserh lake was built by Maharaja Vinay Singh.
Maharaja Vinay Singh of Alwar built the Siliserh lake by damming a stream in 1845, and a palace (now a hotel) on its bank, which tradition says was for his queen Shila.
Bakhtawar Singh was an earlier ruler of Alwar, while Jai Singh and Rai Singh are names of rulers of Jaipur, Alwar and Bikaner in other periods; none of them built Siliserh.
