Which film introduced play back songs in India ?
Answer: A
Playback singing was introduced in Dhoop Chhaon.
The 1935 New Theatres film Dhoop Chhaon, the Hindi version of the Bengali Bhagya Chakra directed by Nitin Bose, used pre-recorded songs to which actors lip-synced, with R.C. Boral as music director. It is credited as the first Indian film to use playback singing.
Raja Harishchandra (1913) was a silent film, the first Indian feature. Alam Ara (1931) was the first Indian sound film, but its songs were sung live by the actors on set.
