Which one of the following sub-themes related to "Food" should be most suitable for class III children ?

The most suitable sub-theme is cooking food and eating with family.
EVS in the early classes starts from the child's immediate experience and widens outwards in later classes. For Class III, the theme Food is approached through what children see at home: who cooks, how food is cooked and eating together with family.
The other sub-themes reach beyond the Class III child's immediate world. What carnivorous animals eat, why food gets spoiled, and how food travels from farm to market involve wider ideas, about animals, microbes and markets, that the EVS books take up in later classes as the child's environment expands.
