Most of the automatic method of species identification uses which of the following as a feature ?
Answer: C
Automatic identification systems mostly use the Mel frequency cepstral coefficient.
In automatic speaker recognition (printed here as 'species identification'), speech is described by Mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs), computed on the Mel scale, which spaces frequencies the way the human ear perceives pitch. MFCCs summarise the shape of the vocal tract and are the standard features in such systems.
'Hertz', 'formant' and 'normal' frequency cepstral coefficients are not standard feature types; formants are measured separately in forensic phonetics.
