The form of government in USA is based on the theory that there should be separation between executive and legislature is characterired as :
Answer: B
The form is the presidential form of government.
In the United States the President, the head of the executive, is elected separately from Congress, is not a member of it and cannot be removed by a vote of no confidence. This separation of the executive from the legislature, based on Montesquieu's theory, is the defining feature of a presidential system.
A parliamentary system fuses the two, with the executive drawn from and responsible to the legislature. 'Federal' and 'quasi-federal' describe the division of power between centre and states, not between executive and legislature.
