In which Section of the Indian Contract Act- 1872, the term "Free consent" has been defined?
Answer: A
The term free consent is defined in Section 14 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872: consent is free when it is not caused by coercion, undue influence, fraud, misrepresentation or mistake.
Section 17 defines fraud, Section 18 defines misrepresentation, and Section 20 deals with the effect of a mistake that is shared by both the parties as to a matter of fact. These sections define the vitiating factors or their effect and do not define free consent itself.
