Which sensor does an electric power steering system need?
Answer: A
The torque sensor measures the effort the driver is applying and the controller assists in proportion, which is the fundamental input. Vehicle speed is used to shape the assistance curve but is secondary. Position sensing supports the automated functions. Most errors here come from carrying across a result from a neighbouring case where it does not hold. Tracing the requirement back to the physical constraint that produces it makes the answer follow.
