A child's first experience as well as expectations of what it means to be a 'girl' or a 'boy' comes from
Answer: D
A child's first experiences and expectations about being a girl or a boy come from the family.
The family is the primary agent of socialisation. Long before school, parents and siblings name the child as a boy or girl, choose clothes and toys, assign chores and react differently to behaviour, and the child absorbs these messages first.
Media, relatives and the neighbourhood also shape ideas of gender, but they act later or less directly as secondary influences, so none of them is the first source.
