'Boys are into sports whereas girls are into arts and crafts'. What does this statement reflect ?
Answer: A
The statement reflects stereotypes.
A stereotype is a fixed, generalised image of a group that is applied to every member of it. Saying that boys are into sports and girls into arts and crafts assigns interests to children according to their gender, regardless of what any particular boy or girl actually likes.
A difference is simply a variation between people, with no fixed image attached. Tradition refers to customs handed down over time. A prejudice is a negative judgement or dislike of others; the statement does not judge either group as inferior, it fixes them in roles.
