Discussion
An effective classroom strategy to reduce gender stereotyping and broadening developmental possibilities for all sexes is
Answer: D
The effective strategy is forming mixed-sex activity groups and promoting discussion.
When boys and girls work together on the same tasks and talk about them, children see that abilities and interests are not fixed by sex, and stereotypes are questioned rather than reinforced. Discussion also lets the teacher address stereotyped views openly.
