Under the Arms Act, a person may acquire, have in his possession or carry any firearm or ammunition
Answer: C
The age is 21 years.
Section 9(1)(a)(i) of the Arms Act provides that no person who has not completed the age of twenty-one years shall acquire, have in his possession or carry any firearm or ammunition. A proviso allows a younger person to use a firearm for training in sport or shooting under proper supervision, but not to acquire or carry one on his own. A person of 21 or more still needs a licence.
16 and 18 are below the statutory age, and 25 is above it.
