Dengue fever is not spread by the housefly. It is transmitted by the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
The housefly carries disease mechanically, on its feet and mouthparts, from filth to food - which is how it spreads cholera, dysentery, typhoid and diarrhoea.
