Which is the approach that specified, "What ought to be there rather than what is there" is called ?
Answer: A
This is the normative approach.
A normative approach describes what ought to be, an ideal or optimal arrangement under stated assumptions, such as Christaller's central place pattern or Von Thunen's land-use rings. A positive approach, by contrast, describes and explains what actually exists.
The logical and regional approaches are not defined by the distinction between 'ought' and 'is', and the positive approach is its opposite.
