Who among the following stated that "religion is vitamin for the masses" ?
Answer: B
The phrase is Régis Debray's.
The French writer Régis Debray, once a companion of Che Guevara, inverted Marx's famous description of religion as 'the opium of the people', calling religion instead a vitamin for the weak: a source of strength for people under pressure, not merely a sedative.
Marx's own phrase was 'opium', not 'vitamin'. Nasution was an Indonesian general and writer on guerrilla warfare, and Ho Chi Minh a Vietnamese revolutionary leader.
