Which ministry of the government of India is associated with the Digital India programme ?
Answer: A
The Digital India programme belongs to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Digital India was launched in July 2015 to provide digital infrastructure, digital delivery of government services and digital literacy. It is coordinated by MeitY (formerly the Department of Electronics and Information Technology), which handles internet governance, e-governance and electronics policy.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting looks after broadcasting, films and the press, the Ministry of Culture after heritage and the arts, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports after youth programmes and sport. None of them runs Digital India.
